You can price home delivery yourself on our website for bulk bag (heavy pallet) orders by choosing your county from the drop menu after adding your items to cart.
By ordering online, you can choose your delivery date, which will be confirmed (along with details of your order) automatically in an email. Our current lead time is around 4 working days.

Due to Covid-19 all our office-based employees are working from home, so our preferred contact is via email.
PLEASE NOTE – OUT OF STOCK ITEMS
We are currently out of stock of a lot of our products – we are hopeful for these to be replenished before the end of July but some suppliers are struggling to keep up with demand. Please try not to contact us to check when we expect stocks back as we don’t have this information available. The website is updated as soon as stocks come back in. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

For information on a delivery we are making for you please use the form above or use our live chat facebook page between the hours of 10am & 5pm Mon-Fri. For enquiries about a delivery we are making for you please call us on 0867 337 159.
Estimated Times of Delivery – These can only be provided after 10.30am on your scheduled delivery day, but please be aware that times given to us from pallet carriers may still be vague unless you’ve specifically paid for a timed service.
Collections – You must place your order BEFORE calling to our warehouse

How To Order?
Ordering is easy with The Garden Depot
Order on your mobile, tablet or PC at thegardendepot.ie, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We offer a full nationwide delivery service on all our bulk bag orders and stone products, you can calculate shipping costs before ordering, simply add your items to cart, select your county from the drop menu and update cart.
Online – order from our easy to use shop online, we currently accept payments from: Visa, Visa Debit and MasterCard credit and debit cards. Just select your preferred method at the payment stage.
Phone – we accept phone payment, please have your chosen product reference number at the ready and your eircode.
Email – email us a screenshot of your chosen products with your eircode and we will respond within 2 hrs.
Bank – we accept bank transfer, contact us and we will send you our bank details.
Cheque – you can pay by cheque for your products, please allow up to 5 working days.
Does your site have secure payment?
Absolutely, we use the ‘Verified by Visa’ and ‘Secure by Mastercard’ payment system which give the added safety step of your bank verifying the order.
We take your security very seriously, and we’ve invested in a totally secure and safe website for you to shop. Once you checkout, we encrypt all your details using Internet standard encryption technology (TSL/SSL).
Can I order just one bag?
The smallest quantity via heavy pallet courier is one tonne bag, if you have a request that’s not on our shop, please contact us via email, please provide your eircode.
Do you deliver using a hiab/crane offload?
All our heavy pallet consignments are delivered using a tail lift lorry and pump truck offload, NOT a crane. The Driver will require smooth, solid and level ground that is free of gravel or grass for a successful delivery. (Please see our Delivery Info) However, larger loads of 10 pallets or more can be priced separately with a hiab/crane offload if you would like to Contact Us for a quote.
Do the prices include delivery and VAT?
Yes, once you have selected the county for your delivery into the cart page, the site will display the availability and pricing, inclusive of economy delivery and VAT. If you decide to look at other items, your entered county allows the pricing for other products to show automatically
Can I request a delivery time?
There are two ways to request a delivery time / day. You can request a delivery day in the other comments box on checkout or you can contact us via email. The delivery company will get in touch to arrange a suitable time, surcharges may apply*.
Can I request a call before delivery?
Yes, this option is available in the checkout area, simply tick the relevant box and choose request a call back 1 hr before delivery.
What if I am not there to receive the goods?
It is best if you are there to receive the goods but you can arrange for a neighbour or someone else to accept the goods and sign on your behalf. If you’ve not made us aware of this, the delivery driver will usually call you to make sure it is okay to leave the pallet in your absence.
How long does delivery take after ordering?
All deliveries are usually made within 4 working days. For example if you place an order on Monday it will normally be delivered by or before Thursday of the same week. Weekends excluded. We offer a next day delivery, but service charges apply*. (NOTE: Due to Covid-19 some of the deliveries may be slightly delayed, although everything is done to try and reduce this, unfortunately in some instances this cannot be prevented)
Will my order definitely arrive on the day requested?
Nearly all of our orders are delivered on the day requested, but occasionally deliveries are delayed due to unforeseen circumstances which are beyond our control.
Can I check stock?
We update the stock levels on The Garden Depot website regularly throughout the day to provide you with the most up-to-date stock information. When you select a stone product there will be a ‘low stock’ or ‘sold out’ message if that stone is almost gone or totally sold out.
Will you be getting more stock?
We mix a lot of our stone products at our facility on a regular basis so we tend to get more stock in once or twice a week. However, you will be advised if we’re experiencing a delay in our stock supply chain by a message saying ‘coming soon’.
What size gravel is best for driveways?
We recommend 14mm, 20mm or 10-20mm for driveways. Anything smaller than this can get stuck in tyre or shoe treads, and anything larger won’t bed together well enough to form a flat surface.
I have a question about shipping?
Please refer to the ‘calculate shipping’ next to the ‘update cart’ button on our cart page to calculate shipping costs (before paying), simply add your products to the cart and choose your county from the drop menu to calculate delivery costs. If you have any further questions please contact our Customer Services department and we will be happy to help with your query, please have your eircode at the ready.
How will my order be delivered?
All heavy pallet deliveries are made on a tail lift lorry and lowered to the ground. A manual pallet truck is then used to manoeuvre the pallet into position. To ensure your aggregates are delivered, you, (or someone on your behalf), will need to be there to sign for them. What weight is in your bulk bags?
The majority of our bulk bags weigh in excess of 950KG and are on a pallet 20KG. Please see the product description for more details.
How much should I order?
If you go to our Gravel Calculator page and enter the measurements of the area you are going to cover, this will estimate how many tonnes/bags you require. For gravel drives and paths we recommend a depth of 2 inches.
Do you have showrooms?
Sorry, we don’t have any showrooms, we sell our products online to the customer at discounted prices, our mixing plant has heavy machinery operating, to ensure safety for you and our staff and to adhere with health & safety regulations our facility is not open to the public. Your mobile phone is effectively a store in your pocket. Put the kettle on and shop away without ever worrying about opening hours!
How accurate are the product photos you show?
We try to update photos of the products regularly and we feel they are a true likeness to the actual aggregates. However, as these are natural products, variations in colour will occur from batch to batch. If you are in any doubt, please request a sample prior to ordering.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
If you would like a sample please email us your full name and address with the name of the stone product or products you require and provide the name of the courier company you have chosen to pick up your sample, we will package your sample or samples and have them ready for collection.
What happens if I refuse my delivery as I think it is incorrect?
The best thing to do is accept the delivery and phone us immediately. We usually request that photos of the product be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. If it has been delivered incorrectly, we will arrange to have it collected straight away and replaced with the correct material. If the product is sent away and turns out to be correct, it can be very expensive to return or have it re-delivered.
Can you price match?
As our products are very competitively priced, we do not price match. If you have a large order of 10 tonnes or more, please call us for a quote as we may be able to use alternative delivery methods.
What refund do I get if the goods are no longer required?
The customer is responsible for shipping the goods back to us. Once the goods have been received, a full refund will be given as long as the goods are received back in good condition. Goods must be returned within 7 working days from delivery.
Do you do discount codes?
We don’t do discount codes. We sell big quantities at sale prices every day. We already keep our prices as low as we can and pass on the savings to you, so there’s no need for promo codes. If you see a website offering The Garden Depot discount code, it isn’t real.
